SECURITY ASSESSMENT PROBLEMS IN SAWMILL EQUIPMENT

abstract 1281704040 issue 128 pp. 546 – 557 28.04.2017 ru 333
The article deals with normative legal documents, regulating safety indicators of equipment, with particular focus on woodworking machinery, including log-processing equipment. General and specific requirements have been highlighted in terms of their analyses. The necessity of safety requirements’ specification in technical guidelines, with reference to construction of industry-specific trend equipment, according to newly accepted national, interstate and international standards for purposes of conformity assessment. Nonconformities were determined on the terms in Technical Guidelines of the Customs Union 021/2011, fundamental documents for woodworking equipment GOST EH 1070 and GOST ISO 12100. Relevant topic issues are declared in this work. Manufactures consider them when risk valuation is performed in point of existing equipment and that, under development non-standard equipment, connected with diversity of normative documents, absence of information about customers’ experience, accidents while operating comparable machinery, etc. The paper emphasizes complications, which participants of standard programs face, namely, development contractors and users, accredited test laboratories and certification bodies, state oversight authorities, when woodworking machinery conformity assessment is performed. The suite of safety metrics was suggested for valuation of log-processing equipment and two-level log frames, particularly, on the basis of technical guidelines requirements TG CU 021/2011 “On machinery and equipment safety”, and standards GOST EH 1070, GOST 12.2.026.0, GOST R 5454123 and GOST R 51898. The necessity of standard realization was demonstrated in relevance to obsolete methods of control over equipment (geometric and technology accuracy). GOST 10294 was accepted in 1990 and hasn’t been actualized since that time. That is the reason why it seems impossible to estimate equipment condition, as recommended monitoring facilities are missing

RISK MANAGEMENT IN WOODWORKING

abstract 1321708053 issue 132 pp. 645 – 654 31.10.2017 ru 408
The article deals with urgent questions concerning activities of woodworking industries, which face tough economic situation. Nevertheless, these enterprises reveal a definite growth of output in some kinds of products, such as fuel pellets, window units, special timber assortments, etc. The problems about possible risks connected with equipment handling were identified, which has physical and intellectual wear, as most of it has been operating since 1980. On the basis of accomplished investigations of normative and technical sources the documents were specified, which establish safety regulations for operating equipment and requirements for risk assessment techniques. The necessity of their improvement is also determined. Taking into consideration peculiarities of management of woodworking production process, the analysis was carried out in order to estimate the factors, which influence the quality of mechanical treatment by the method of 5M. Following the observations and processing of statistical data it was established that equipment and personnel show the greatest impact on the quality of half-finished and final products. Risks evaluation method for woodworking industries is suggested with due account for equipment safety parameters, which includes determination of consequences, risk probability, risk level on scale factored “high”, “medium” and “low”. Much attention is paid to the items composed: rank matrix of two-factor model, with calculations of numerical values of risks, as product probability of occurrence and severity of consequences, and risk log. Three zones were appointed with the following risk levels: the first zone with weighting factor not less than 6, the second zone: 8-16, the third: 20-25. In course of investigation, it was detected that the highest risk factor, connected with equipment operation, is probability of mechanical injuries of hands and most possible – getting cuts. The flow chart of risks management during the woodworking production process is offered in accordance with all Union State Standard regulations R ISO 9001-2015 and GOST R ISO/MAC 31010-2011. The developed algorithm provides accomplishing performance of work on risks management in more available and short form with presentation of processing operations, actual doers, kinds of required normative documents and papers worked out within the enterprise

THE RESEARCH OF PARAMETERS OF WOODEN CHIP COLORING

abstract 1311707006 issue 131 pp. 45 – 55 29.09.2017 ru 589
This work presents main kinds of colourants and methods of painting wood particles. Based on wood structure analysis, it was revealed that hard wood, possessing tracheides and vessels as conducting elements, have the optimal capacity for coloration, in comparison with coniferous trees. A methodology was developed of cloning wooden particles, in the form of chips, with forced immersion in order to obtain established parameters of saturation and brightness. The experiments were conducted with chips of 15-50 mm long, 5-20 mm wide and 3-7 mm thick. The composition of colouring agent included water, acetic acid, and water-emulsion colourants of different types and colours (№1 – colour code (red, yellow, and brown) №2 – colorant (lilac and orange) and №3 – paint). Experience has shown the needed concentration of liquors and mass percentage of compounding ingredients. The research was undertaken to study concentration dependence on the time of allowance and saturation. In consequence of colouring experimental batches of chips, a painting saturation of 4-9 points was obtained at the allowance of 120 and 140 seconds. Dependence of brightness from solubility was determined, with high correlation between given parameters on Pearson Criteria (more than 0.9). Comparative analysis made it possible to discover that the better colouring of particles is created with the red paint. In this case maximum colouring effect is achieved with liquor of water-emulsion paint. Subsequent to the experimental results, a design of installation for colouring wooden particles was developed and patented

MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE OF LOGGING ROUTES OF OIL AND GAS PIPELINES AT FOREST TERRITORIES

abstract 0821208033 issue 82 pp. 426 – 436 31.10.2012 ru 1236
Procedure of management by process of routes logging is developed for linear objects (oil and gas pipelines and power lines) by petrol saws, delimbing-bucking machines and timber transport road trains in wood territories. The documents and the performers providing management of operations and the registration of the quality of the works, the resources and the equip-ment, used in the process of logging are defined
