TECHNOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF PRODUCTION AND RESULTS OF FEED ADDITIVE ON ASSOCIATIVE MICROFLORA IN POULTRY FARMING

abstract 0961402075 issue 96 pp. 1095 – 1118 28.02.2014 ru 1590
The optimum conditions of cultivation of probiotic association bacteria (structures of mother waters and industrial nutritious environments, optimum of temperature and time of cultivation) are determined; therefore it was allowed to develop the “know-how” of the Bacell fodder additive. On the basis of the carried out experiments of the application of Bacell on birds it is possible to make a conclusion about expediency of its application at cultivation of the hens as the fodder additive. Its use allows to increase efficiency, safety layers, and to increase the competitiveness of manufacture of eggs and meat of the hens in general

ECONOMIC-BIOLOGICAL FEATURES AND EXTERIOR MAINTENANCE OF YOUNG CATTLE IN THE KRASNODAR REGION

abstract 1051501064 issue 105 pp. 1046 – 1074 30.01.2015 ru 984
In the Krasnodar region there is a unique gene pool of animals both for dairy and meat. To assess the heifers the authors formed five experimental groups of animals, the most common species in the region. The authors studied the main economic, biological and exterior features: live weight, measurements, assessment of the exterior. The studies found that among intensive species with the largest body weight throughout the growing period, in 8-month old Charolais heifers superior Simmental ones at 17.4 kg. In one year old Simmental heifers were 9.2 kg (R˂0,05) ahead of Charolais and in 15 months – 10 kg (R˂0,05). Over the entire period of growth the highest rates of relative growth rates of heifers were obtained by red steppe breed type named Kuban, which had an advantage over the Aberdeen-Angus – 19.1%, Charolais – 5.6%, Hereford – 6.2%, and the difference between them and Simmental weren’t fixed. When growing, the animals become less tall, more stretched, wide and massive. We have noted that during the period of cultivation we had increased indices: stretch (9% – Red Steppe, 13.8% – Charolais, 16.1% – Hereford); chest (5.4% Aberdeen Angus). This reduces the index of long legs of red steppe – 5.6%, 10.9% for Charolais. The study of linear growth of animals confirms that the animal meat breeds of live weight increase was due to the extension of the body and increase the width of the pelvis and chest. Some different facts were observed in heifers of Red Steppe breed. For them, the most characteristic increase in the width of the chest was 1.44 times, as well as increasing the depth of the chest and chest girth behind the shoulders

DEVELOPING LOW TEMPERATURE SOURCE LOCAL HEATING FOR PIGLETS

abstract 1081504056 issue 108 pp. 761 – 778 30.04.2015 ru 1097
During the research, we have developed a low-temperature zonal heating panels with an infrared emitter to create a local microclimate for piglets in the suckling period. This heater is lightweight and durable frame in the form of an inverted box size 400 mm x 1800 mm, attached to the wall of the building swivel. Top frame mounted thermostat is connected to a temperature sensor mounted directly on a metal plate with a thickness of 1 mm, painted in black color. In the upper part of the inner carcass layer is a light insulating material, which is located directly under the low-temperature heat source is electric. Study of the optimal size of the heating panel revealed that in view of the limitations associated with the area of the machine and biological characteristics of the optimum size of the sow for 11 piglets are: width – 400 mm; length – 1500 mm (at ventral position) and 1800 mm (lateral position). Comparison of different heating sources for piglets revealed that the use of infrared lamps enables newborn piglets seating area by 55.6%, while in 28 days – by 88.9%. Infrared lamps can not completely meet the recommended specifications as to ensure a more intense heat lamp to be lowered towards the floor surface, which leads to a reduction in the useful area heated. Using as a source of local heating mats and low-temperature panels satisfies pigs in the area of the den in the early suckling period at 138.9 and 200.0%, to weaning, respectively – by 48.5 and 65.5%. Thus, we have developed a low-temperature heating panels contributed to a more uniform distribution of heat in a recreation area of suckling piglets and to provide a comfortable environment at temperatures of 2-3 C lower in comparison with other methods of heating

MODELING REGIONAL SYSTEMS OF BREEDING PIGS

abstract 1141510076 issue 114 pp. 1004 – 1020 30.12.2015 ru 1126
The article contains the experience of the development of the methodology and the computer program for calculation of regional and local systems of pigs hybridization at the example of the Rostov region (Russia). Crossing the GP lines for F1 should be organized in multiplier farm, which may be separate farms and to be part of large commercial farms. For the production of F1 in a multiplier farm, we must breed a purebred specialized paternal and a maternal line, selected on the effect of combining ability. For the successful functioning of the system of hybridization, it is necessary to build a genetic pyramid, including breeding and genetic centers (nucleus farm), multiplier farm, reproducing the baseline. The article gives a detailed calculation of sow population of levels of P, GP, GGP for maternal and paternal breeds of pigs. The program uses user-defined parameters of pigs productivity, of the simulated population, and the parameters characterizing the intensity of selection of young animals. To ensure annual production of 1,822 million pigs in the Rostov region it is necessary to provide the availability of brood stock in the amount of 89 thousand heads, 6 800 heads in the structure of grandparent flocks (GP), 730 heads in the structure of the Grand-Grand-parent stock (GGP), excluding sows second maternal and paternal breeds

EXPERIENCE OF USING NATURAL MINERAL COMPOUNDS FOR METABOLIC DISORDERS IN CATTLE

abstract 1241610069 issue 124 pp. 1065 – 1084 30.12.2016 ru 754
In this study we show the results of the use of natural mineral compounds in metabolic disorders in cattle-breeding complexes of industrial type. According to official data for 2013-2015, based on the biochemical analysis of blood of cattle, that was held in some farms of Samara region, significant metabolic disorders were determined due to decrease in total protein level on 31,5% in average, decrease in alkali reserve – on 26,9% of samples, decrease in calcium concentration – on 40,7%, decrease of the phosphorus – on 8,1%, decrease in carotene – on 81,7% and glucose – on 84,3% of studies. Clinical examination of herd revealed a high level of animals with obvious signs of mineral metabolism disorders (osteodystrophy and rickets of alimentary origin) and comorbidity (nutritional anemia, gastroenteritis, pneumonia, disturbance of protein, carbohydrate and vitamin metabolism, and others). The use of complex natural compounds improves the efficiency of the traditional complex of treatment and prophylaxis, causing an increase in the total concentration of calcium in the blood serum on 10-55%, increase in calcium-phosphorus ratio till 1,27-2,3, increase in annual growth rate of young animals’ body weight on 8,2-44,8%, increase in milk production on 5,9-16,3%. Preparations have an antianemic action, normalize indicators of micronutrient metabolism of proteins and carbohydrates, enhance non-specific resistance factors and prevent the development of non-contagious internal pathology
