AGAPI - NEWEST WINE WHITE BERRY AROMATIC GRAPE VARIETY

Newest aromatic white berry wine grape variety Agapi was breeded by hybridization at the Athens Institute of Viticulture (Likovrisi, Greece) by professors P.Zamanidi, L.Troshin and P.Radchevskiy in 2006 by crossing the Greek varieties Afiri white with central European variety Traminer pink. Strong growth of shoots (2,1-3,0 m). Level of ripening vines is very high: over the entire length except the top. Length of production period 146-155 days. Productivity is very high: 25-30 t / ha. Average weight of cluster 300 g. Characterized by a high resistance to cold, drought and increased resistance to fungal diseases compared to varieties of Vitis vinifera L. Flower is androgynous. Bunch is medium, conical, medium density. Berry is medium, short elliptical or spherical, greenish-yellow in color, with a thick waxy coating. Cuticle of medium thickness, dense, and durable. Pulp and juice are with pronounced varietal flavor, similar to the aroma of Traminer pink. The sugar content is very high, more than 24%. Clusters of Agapi variety regardless of autumn weather conditions persist for a long time in the bushes. Variety intended for the manufacturing dry white wines of excellent grade and high-quality sparkling wines, dessert and sweet wines; suitable for production of high quality fragrant juices

«PROFESSOR MALTABAR» – THE NEW WINE HIGHER QUALITY GRAPE VARIETY WITH BLACK BERRY

The variety "Professor Maltabar" is new, it is growth in Greece by Pantelei Zamanidi and Leonid Troshin in 2001 year from crossing of Aigeorgitico and Cabernet Sauvignon. The variety belongs to the group Black sea basin (convar. orientalis subconvar. caspica Negr.). The production period is 146-156 days. The yield is higher. The bunch weight is 200 g. The bunch is middle, cylinder conical or winged, middle density. The berry is middle, round, blue-black color. The skin is density, the pulp is juicy, the sap in not colored, with solanum after-taste. The sugarnesses is higher. The quantity of seeds is two-three. The seed is middle, grey color, piriform, with shot beak. It is higher steadiness variety for winter frost, drought-resistance and higher steadiness for mushrooms disease compare with it’s parents. The variety is used for preparing higher quality dry red, pink and white (champagne) wines of different categories.

KORMILITSA LISA - NEW GREEK-RUSSIAN INTEGRATED SUSTAINABLE WHITE BERRY MOSCHATUS GRAPE VARIETY

Kormilitsa Lisa grape was created in Greece by P. Zamanidi and L.Troshin in 2003 with crossing the varieties of the Pervenets Maharach with varieties of Muscat white. The duration of the production period is 146-155 days. The yield is high. The average mass of clusters of 250 g. It has winter hardiness, drought-resistance and high resistance to fungal diseases in comparison with varieties of Vitis vinifera; it is also tolerant to phylloxeras. The flower is ambisexual. The bunch is average, cylinder-conic, medium density. The berry is average, oval, green-yellow colour, with a thick wax coating. The skin is thin, thick, and strong. The pulp and juice with a strong Muscat flavor. Sugar content is high with acidity constant. When overripen, it dries long and is stored on the bushes. The variety is meant for manufacture of dry white wine of superior class and high-quality dessert and sweet wines; It is also suitable for the development of high-quality juices and compotes

«PROFESSOR DAVIDIS» – THE NEW BLACK BERRY HIGH-QUALITY WINE GRAPE WITH COLORED PULP AND JUICE

The grape variety with colored pulp and juice named “Professor Davids” was selected in Greece by P.Zamanidy, L.Troshin and A.Isachkin in 2003 with crossing of the Greek varieties of “Mandilaria” with the French introducent of “Alicant Bushe”. The duration of the production period is 156-165 days. Variety is full-grown. The degree of maturation of the vines is high. Crop yields are very high. The average mass of clusters is 300 gr. Has a high winter hardiness, drought-resistance and high resistance to fungal diseases in comparison with industrial varieties of Vitis vinifera. The female flower, with the stamens. The bunch of average size, cylindroconical, medium density. Berries are medium, round, blue-black in color, with a thick wax coating. The skin is thick, dense. The pulp and juice are intensively painted, with varietal flavour. Sugar content is very high. Notable for long preservation of the harvest in the bushes. The variety is suitable for making intensively painted dry red wines of superior class and high-quality dessert wines and unique juices. APOLLON – THE NEW WINE HIGH QUALITY GRAPE VARIETY WITH BLACK BERRY

Universal black-berry Apollo grape has been launched in Greece by P.Zamanidi, L.Troshin and A.Isachkin in 2003 with combinative selection - crossing of the Fi-lery Greek variety with the French Cabernet-Sauvignon. The duration of the production period 136-145 days. The strength of growth of arms is strong (2,1-3,0 m), the degree of maturation of the vines is high. Crop yields are very high - 35-40 t/ha. The aver-age mass of clusters is 430 g. It is characterized by high winter hardiness, drought-resistance and high resistance to fungal diseases in comparison with varie-ties of Vitis vinifera. The flower is bisexual. Cluster is big or very big, conical with the wing, loose. Berries are medium or large, oval, blue-black in color, with a thick wax coating. The skin is thick. The pulp and juice - with varietal flavor. Sugar content is high. Notable for long saving the harvest in the bushes, well-kept in the cooler cells. NEW BREED OF HRISI IRINI GRAPE FOR HIGH-QUALITY SPARKLING, SWEET AND DRY WHITE WINES

The breed of grape of Hrisi Irini is bred in Greece by P.Zamanidi and L.Troshin in 2003 by mating of the Greek breed of Asirtiko with the French breed of Semilon. Duration of production period is 156-165 days. Growth of shoots is strong (2,1-3,0). Degree of ripening of a vine is very high. Productivity is high. Average mass of clusters is 200 Differs with high winter hardiness, drought resistance and the raised resistance to fungous diseases in comparison with breeds of Vitis vinifera L. Flower is bisexual. Cluster is average, cyclo-conical, average density. Berry is average, oval, greenish-yellow colour, with a dense bloom. A pellicle is dense. Pulp and juice with high-quality odour. Sugar content is very high, it reaches 40 % with constant acidity in air-dry clusters on bushes. The breed of Hrisi Irini is included in ecological and geographical group of breeds of basin of Black sea under its morpho-physiological characteristics. The breed is intended for manufacturing dry white wines of an excellent class, and also high-quality dessert, sweet and sparkling wines; it is applicable for production of high-quality juice, compotes as well. The breed is very perspective for southern zones where grapes have no sufficient acidity
