As the result of introduction research of Dagestan endemic Allium gunibicum under mountain conditions seed productivity variability data were obtained. An analysis of the data revealed significant difference in seed productivity performance of samples (inflorescence mass, seed mass, mass of 100 seeds, fruit number, ovules number, number of seeds, percentage of fruit bloom, seeds formation coefficient) among themselves both within one-year research and annually. The analysis showed that under the introduction with the same conditions the mean values of seed productivity characteristics decrease together with increasing of the sea level of collecting locations; at the same time, a mass of 100 seeds increases. The most variable factors were found out. They are seed mass in inflorescence, seed number in inflorescence, seeds formation coefficient. And the steadiest factors are a percentage of fruit bloom and mass of 100 seeds. As the result of the one-way analysis of variance a significant influence of the altitude above the sea level and slope disposition were discovered
The distribution and variability of features of the
endemic of flora Eastern Caucasus Centaurea
daghestanica (Lipsky) Czer. were given in this article.
Eleven locations of the species are detected and three
of them are new ones. C. daghestanica grows in the
lower and middle mountain belts from 400 to 1250 m
above sea level. In the lower belt, the species is found
on clayey areas of the solonchak valley of Kar-Kar and
the limestone slopes adjoining the valley, on average
on shale screes and stony slopes. Three populations of
the C. daghestanica we studied. Species composition
on the investigated sites was determined, and a
geobotanical description is carried out. Project
coverage of C. daghestanica in the studied populations
varies within 2–5%. By generative individuals of
different ages were represented mainly populations.
One generative shoot from 30 individuals in each
population was taken to reveal the variability of the
generative shoot structure, on which 13 traits were
taken into account. The degree of variability of the
morphological features of C. daghestanica shoot is
different, the influence of the altitude level on them is
not the same. The annual shoot of C. daghestanica has
an average of 3-5 branches of the first order. Branches
of all levels are located at the bottom of the shoot
In the given work there is information about peculiarities of distribution and phytocenotic placement of the endemic of Dagestan flora Helianthemum daghestanicum Rupr. Twenty five
locations of the species are detected and four of them are new ones. Altitude levels of its spreading are defined more accurately – 350 – 1750 m. It is notified that basic types of vegetation, where Sunrose Dagestanian can be met, are communities of mountainous xerophytes and mountain steppes with domination of Botriochloa ischaemum and Salvia canescens
