The article reports in color on the characteristics of the three varieties and their clones that are common in Afghanistan. In the process of ampelographic screening of vineyards in Afghanistan, three varieties previously undescribed in Russian literature under the local names Aita, Gundyan and Shandyhani were discovered. Their identification by ampelographic and ampelometric characteristics made it possible to establish the original Aita variety, the Gundyan variety as a synonym for Guladan and Shandyhani as a synonym for the world famous Sultanin, or Kishmish. The described varieties are quite common in Afghanistan, reputable in economic returns and are still promising for cultivation in their country, where they are successfully used in the manufacture of dried products and high-quality diet juices. To identify the impact of various environmental conditions on the growth, development, quantity and quality of the crop, these varieties must be tested in all zones of different ecological and geographical areas of cultivation
Intensive viticulture as a sub-branch of the grape-wine industry of agriculture is developing due to the introduction of modern scientific developments. The intensification of production consists of laying vineyards with planting material of higher biological categories, highly productive clones of traditional and long-established selection varieties; advanced agrotechnological techniques and mechanized operations, etc. For import substitution of table grapevine in our country, it is especially important to introduce new big-berry varieties from early to late maturity, providing a continuous 100-day conveyor for harvesting, with a bunch of grapes, various colors and the shape of berries. In many countries of the world with developed viticulture, breeding programs are being conducted to create competitive table varieties. As a result, there were obtained Muscat of Italy (Italy), Cardinal, Red Globe (USA), Moldova (Moldova), widely spread all over the world. But the world market does not stand still and breeders are working on new varieties. In recent years, there has been a trend of enlargement of berries from 8 to 24 grams, preference is given to varieties with pink and red berries. So, for example, created in Ukraine - a very early variety of Livia; in Russia - the variety clones of Livia K and Rochefort K, the early varieties of the Memory of the Teacher, the Gift of the Nesvetay, the Preobraghenie and the Jubilee of Novocherkassk, and others. These varieties are bred according to the developed model, which shows the genetic regularities of the formation of maximum expression in transgressive recombinants in quantitative (mass of berries and bunches) and qualitative (shape and color of berries) traits associated with maturation
The analysis of varietal and age structure of vineyards occupied by 29 varieties and clones of the technical direction of use in the "Alushta" branch of FSUE "PJSC "Massandra". Taking into account the ecological and climatic conditions of the Alushta valley and the specialization of the economy, the largest share in the assortment of technical varieties is occupied by red grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon and clones of Cabernet Sauvignon R5, R8, VCR8, No. 169 including (26.68%), Bastardo Magarachsky and Bastardo clone VCR1 (12.06%), Saperavi (7.33%), Krasnostop zolotovsky (5.69%), Merlot and clone Merlot R3 (4.62 %). White varieties are in a smaller percentage: white Muscat and white Muscat clone R3 (8.47 %), white Kokur (7.1%), Aligote (3.82%), Semillon and clones Semillon № 173 and № 299 (3.68%), Gars level (2.99%). Plantings in the most productive age of 6-10 and 11-15 years are 57.5 % of the total area. At the same time, the share of introduced clones of varieties accounts for 26.65 %. In general, the age structure of the vineyards is favorable. The company produces high quality wine materials for production of traditional Federal state unitary enterprise "PJSC "Massandra" wines: white Port Alushta, Alushta red Port, pink Port Alushta, Alushta red Table, Pinot Gris, Massandra, Madera Crimean Alushta Tokay, white Muscat, Massandra Kokur, Semillon Alushta and sherry wine. In addition, there are new brands of semi-sweet white and red wines Pearl Massandra, as well as varietal wine materials Aligote, Cabernet, Sauvignon, Merlot, Saperavi, Chardonnay, Bastardo and Semillon. Analysis of the assortment shows that in the production plantings of "Alushta" branch of FSUE "PJSC "Massandra" there are varieties of medium and late ripening, which does not create peaks during harvesting and processing, ensuring uniform flow of raw materials for winemaking. It is necessary to expand the assortment of the economy due to a number of promising varieties of Syrah, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Sangiovese and others with a complex of economically valuable properties introduced from other regions

The influence of growth, its ripened part and the
diameter of the vine at the base of the shoot on the
growth power of 922 seedlings of 55 combinations of
crosses in 2011 and 2012 was studied (planting scheme
3 x 1 m), seedlings of grapes of the second and third
years of vegetation in the field conditions of the
Southern coast of Crimea. The mean vine maturation
for all populations was 64.7%, the diameter at the base
of the shoots was 3.3 mm. After pruning to reverse
growth, in the third year of vegetation of seedlings
(2014), the length of growth of shoots increased
significantly and the average for populations it became
73.3 cm. The coefficient of variation increased, 26%, -
it acquired the character of a significant deviation from
the general population. This happened because the
seedlings, which had a vine growth less than 25 cm in
the second year of vegetation, had a growth of only 35
cm in the third year, whereas in all seedlings that had a
growth of more than 30 cm, in the following year shoots increased almost 1, 5 and 2 times more.
Formulas are proposed for estimating the growth force
of seedlings according to the 9-score scale OIV (OIV)
The article highlights the issues of grape plants resistance
to low temperatures; it is an urgent problem for
all wine-growing regions of the world, located in the
zone of risky agriculture. Losses caused by frost, indicate
long-standing necessity of perfection of assortment
in terms of enhancing its hardiness by enriching
more resistant genotypes obtained both through the
introduction or naturalization, as well as from the
crossing of indigenous with interspecies hybrids. Methodology for evaluating frost resistance properties
of the material served as a preparation for the originality
of his research and experimental evaluation of the
unique divisibility properties of the aim. Thus, we initially
conducted hardening of matured cuttings at positive
temperature plus 8 plus 4 ° C for 14 days (I
quenching phase) and a negative temperature minus 5 °
C-minus 7 ° C for 9 days and minus 10 ° C-1 day (II
hardening phase). Then the cuttings we frozen in the
temperature range from minus 16 ° C to the next steps
of consistent freezing (minus 16 ° C - 2 days; minus 18
° C - 2 days; minus 20 ° C - 2 days; minus 22 ° C –
1day, minus 24 ° C - 1 day, minus 26 ° C - 1 day, minus
28 ° C - 1 day and minus 30 ° C - 8 hours). After
freezing of cuttings of each variety, the sample was
placed on the 3 days in the refrigerator at the temperature
of + 2 ° C to their gradual thawing. Cuttings were
grown at room temperature on water. As a result, obtained
by the accounting: the lowest frost-resistance
among the studied forms of parental Crimean origins
was found in grades of Shabash, Soldayya and Solnechnodolinsky;
the varieties of Dzevat kara, Kokur
bely, Kokur cherny, Misket, Misgyuli kara, Sari Pandas
were set as a weak level (-20 °C); Aybatly, Kefesiya,
Kok pandas and Ekim kara have average level up
to -22 °C; the highest frost-resistance - 24 °C – was
shown by Khersonessky and Kapselsky. Also, we have
identified synthetic frost-resistant F1-population and
plus-transgressive selection form
Peculiarities of breeding oidium-resistant genotypes in
crossing Crimea autochthonous grape varieties with
complex interspecific hybrids were studied. Twentytwo
populations consisting of 1323 seedlings were
analyzed over a period of 2008-2014. The highest
oidium resistance was registered in the progeny of the
cross Khersonesskii х ЖС 26-205 (6.8 points), and the
average estimate of oidium resistance across all the
study populations was higher than that of the initial
autochthonous grapes of the Crimea. The level of
hypothetical heterosis in the majority of the study
populations indicates that, on the whole, the hybrid
seedlings possess a higher oidium resistance relative to
the initial Crimea autochthonous grapes. The highest
breeding value was associated with cross combinations
having the complex interspecific hybrids Muscat JIM,
Spartanets Magaracha and Magarach 31-77-10 in their
pedigrees. The cross combination Muscat JIM х
Shabash was the most efficient, yielding 10.7 per cent
of oidium-resistant seedlings. It was reliably
established that a high level of the genotypically determined inheritance of oidium resistance is found
in crosses with the participation of the interspecific
forms Magarach № 31-77-10 and Muscat JIM (female
parents) and Spartanets Magaracha and Tsitronnyi
Magaracha (male parents). The expediency of this
direction of breeding research was proved
Progress of breeding for resistance to diseases, pests
and low temperatures is provided by cross-species
hybridization. Institute of Vine and Wine "Magarach"
is one of the leading centers of selection of grapes in
the world. The breeding program of deducing grapes at
the institute is based on the study and attracting the
world's gene pool, including and industrial of the
Russian Federation assortment of grapes. Analysis
assortment shows that the share of productive, highquality
varieties with group resistance to diseases,
pests and extreme environmental factors is very
small. The main method of selection of grapes of a
new generation who have genetically determined traits
earliness, resistance to biotic and abiotic factors is
crossing complex interspecific hybrids and forms of
their involvement with each other and with the forms
of species Vitis vinifera, belonging to different ecogeographical
groups, saturating crossing between
hybrid forms with complex features, the appropriate
selection of reference. For vigorous offspring is most
effective as a parent to use a local variety of forms of
Crohn and father - interspecific cultivar Alminsky
The article presents the results of the studies of 11
varieties cultivated in the eastern region of South Coast
wine-growing zone of Crimea (planting of
"Solnechnaja Dolina ", near Sudak mountain) in the
area of their natural growing, where was formed the
gene pool of grapes for a long time. As a result, the
three-year (2010-2012) study found that the majority
of indigenous varieties had small number of fruitbearing
shoots in the bush: the varieties with colored
berry - 53,3-73,3%, in white-berry - 46,6-75,9% except
Shabash variety - 79.9%. We have identified the most
productive varieties which were Dzhevat kara (62.2 t /
ha), Kokur Beliy (48.9 t / ha), Kapselsky Beliy (44.4 t /
ha), and varieties with female type of flower: Kefesiya,
Ekim kara, Kock pandas, Sary pandas and Crona gave
not high yield: 22.2; 22.2; 24.4; 28.9 and 28.9 t / ha.
On the strength of growth, productivity and the
accumulation of sugars in the juice of berries, we
picked out varieties of Dzhevat kara, Crona, Kapselsky
beliy. According to the main economic indicators, it
turned out that the most profitable varieties are
Dzhevat Kara, Kokur beliy and Kapselsky beliy.
Hence, these varieties in conditions of the Crimea have
much greater prospect of reproduction and
development of production
The article describes the history of the institute called "Magarach" and the formation of the world's ampelographic collections in the Crimea and Kuban, provides data on the genetic diversity of the original parent Crimean collection of grape, carries out the impact of its long-term ampelo-breeding and genetic work. We have found the best ampelo-genetic rennets, both in the Crimea (zoned in Russia and abroad varieties of Academician Avidzba, Pervanets Magaracha, Jubilee Magarach, Antei magarachsky, Nimrang ustoichivii, Podarok Magaracha, Riesling Magaracha Novoukrainsky Rannii, Granatovii Magaracha, Krymchanin, Rkatsiteli Magaracha, Spartanets Magaracha, Tavkveri Magaracha, Citronnii Magaracha, promising varieties Livya, Solnetchnaja grozd, etc..) and in the Kuban region. Magarach ampelographic collection was and still is the parent of many national collections of gene pools of, the former Soviet republics, including the Russian Federation as well: Anapa ampelographic collection in the North Caucasus NIISiV has 3356 samples collected from 41 countries, including ones from the institute of "Magarach" (about 40%). Using its base we had a comprehensive biological and economic evaluation of the outstanding genotypes for ampelo-genetic and clonal selection – such as zoned Bogotyanovsky, Helios, Dolgogdannii, Kubattik, Libya K, Arathi, Preobragenie, Rochefort K, Chrizolit, Citrine, Anthracite, promising varieties Annie, Baikonur, Gourmet Kra, Memory Master Nesvet Gift, Jubilee Novocherkasska, etc.
