COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE FEEDING OF DIFFERENT BREEDS CATTLE AT CLOSED JOINT STOCK COMPANY AGROCOMPLEX FIRM

abstract 1331709090 issue 133 pp. 1193 – 1208 30.11.2017 ru 447
The fattening of Holstein cattle for more than 90 % provides the beef cattle division of the firm «Agrocomplex» based in the village of Vyselki, the Krasnodar region. The share of the Aberdeen Angus breed is 6.3 % and Charolais at 0.6 %. The reason for insufficient supply with fattening complex of Charolais cattle is a high indicator of severe parturition, postpartum complications, and reduced productive longevity of cows of breeding herds of these breeds. In a "Livestock complex" bulls of breeds of Holstein, Charolais and Aberdeen Angus reach the required values of live weight for the established standards of the breeding time. Charolais have the best indicators of absolute and relative weight gain and the shortest feeding season. The profitability of cattle fattening in CJSC company "Agrocomplex" is low, but the efficiency of the industry is ensured by the presence of its own processing plants. To improve the profitability of beef production it is required to increase the proportion of specialized breeds for meat productivity; to generate the most uniform by age and live weight of the group; identify the cause of the high rate of culling of Charolais cows for postpartum complications and take action to address them

EFFICACY OF SUPRANOL AND UTEROTON IN PREVENTION OF ACUTE POSTPARTUM ENDOMETRITIS IN COWS

abstract 1501906003 issue 150 pp. 30 – 55 28.06.2019 ru 586
The article reflects information characterizing the significance of mastitis and endometritis in the indicator of premature disposal of cows from herds of large farms in the western regions of the Krasnodar region: an average of 30% of the total culling of cows. The effectiveness of veterinary measures in Pravoberezhny JSC of the Temryuk district for mastitis and endometritis in cows was assessed: 81-95%; fertilization index value ‒ 1.8; the duration of the service period exceeds the requirements by 20 days. The studies the nature of the influence of the drugs called Sepranol and Uteroton on the calving process and the occurrence of postpartum complications in cows from the herd, which was formed with violation of breeding principles. The use of the drugs Uteroton and Sepranol contributed to a 50% decrease in the calving index in calving cows by 50% compared with the results of the combined use of estrophan and oxytocin. The use of Uteroton reduced the damage from the lack of milk by 87880 rubles, and the use of Sepranol - by 171164 rubles. We have given practical recommendation on the use of Uteroton and Sepranol for veterinary effects on the body of cows in the early postpartum period in order to reduce the occurrence of complications

ETIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF ANEMIA IN DOG INTOXICATION

abstract 1171603050 issue 117 pp. 773 – 785 31.03.2016 ru 786
Dog poisoning toxicant used at home for rodent control (often based on zinc phosphide ) is accompanied by the development of anemia . In etiopathogenesis of this type of pathology of the blood we can highlight as important: haemolytic , haemorrhagic and allergic components, but the nature and extent of the changes under there are unequal. This requires the development of a special algorithm of examination and treatment strategies of the animal in accordance with the stages of the development of the disease. Modern conditions dictate the need, along with the actions to carry out urgent medical identification as the main etiological factor and pathogenesis, and the leading pathogenetic factors that pose a threat to the danger of other pathological processes and disease states. First, we evaluate the extent of damage to the liver, kidneys, heart, spleen and blood vessels, which is possible only if the clinic has appropriate methods and equipment. It is undeniable in this regard the importance of evidence-based recommendations for dietary nutrition of the affected animal's behavior after the clinic urgent remedial measures. The article proves high importance of evaluating the effectiveness of the treatment in the clinic

INFLUENCE OF DURATION OF THE FIRST LACTATION PERIOD OF SOWS ON REPRODUCTIVE QUALITY

abstract 1221608079 issue 122 pp. 1163 – 1199 31.10.2016 ru 764
The article contains research results on the influence of duration of the first lactation period of sows on reproductive qualities. The authors have detected basic problems which reduce indices reproduction of purebred pigs of the breed of Yorkshire and hybrids of F1 (Yorkshire x Landras) under conditions of a new complex. It was found that because of the increase in duration of lactation period of the sows it is impossible to increase the safety of the piglets with a reduced live mass (from big nests and slow in growth) and improve the reproductive quality of sows. This method has been used in the economy what led to a notable improvement in the indices of pig breeding

The article contains a synthesis of modern views on the problem of ketosis and related metabolic disorders. We have given evidences of the exceptional role of hypoglycemia in the development of progressive metabolic diseases of cows during the transition period. The necessity of implementing a program for critical period with mandatory control of glycemia was substantiated

PECULIARITIES OF NON-INFECTIONAL ARTHRITIS IN GROWING POULTRY IN AN INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT

abstract 1051501065 issue 105 pp. 1075 – 1097 30.01.2015 ru 1184
The problem of industrial poultry farming is the emergence of a growing birds’ arthritis. Inflamed joints are usually seen in poultry and accompanied by the inability to take food and water. The most characteristic of this problem in broiler chickens, young chickens of egg cross, i.e. birds of a short period of use. This is the reason for their rejection of the herd. Culling chickens are 10%, which furthermore reduces the total amount of livestock and leads to a reduction in the cost-effectiveness of growing birds. The analysis of our data gives a reason to believe that the main reason for culling poultry is acute inflammation of the joints or arthri-tis. According to the authors to ensure optimal rearing program, which should include the prevention of premature retirement of birds not only due to infectious diseases, but also the prevention of metabolic disorders and the exclusion of factors that could cause disruption of immunological reactivity. Currently, this program needs to be improved, which is particularly important in relation to vaccine pre-vention

RESULTS OF CALVING AND THE COMPOSITION OF THE BLOOD OF HEIFERS OF SIMMENTAL BREED, MOVED TO THE TAMAN PENINSULA FROM THE ASTRAKHAN REGION

abstract 1341710107 issue 134 pp. 1350 – 1367 29.12.2017 ru 348
The article contains data on results of calving and blood tests of heifers moved from the Astrakhan region in the Temryuk district of the Krasnodar region in the condition of early pregnancy. According to the accompanying documents, cell blood count, hemoglobin and biochemical parameters were consistent with species and age normal. Calving took place without complications and did not require delivery; received 36 of 36 calves from cows. The quality of the calves found to be satisfactory. On the 45th day of service period, clinical signs of impaired health status were present in 2 animals, however biochemical markers of liver disease, inflammation, and anemia was identified in 7 heifers. In the context of work on creation of livestock combined milk and meat productivity of inseminated heifers and heifers of the Simmental breed the Simmental semen (25 cows) and Aberdeen Angus (34 cows) breeds. Fruitfully inseminated 55 out of 60 animals; indicator of severity of calving was 8 % for Simmental cows. Calves of Simmental breed and Simmental-Aberdeen Angus cross-breeds meet the requirements for live weight at birth and the exterior. Farming on the formation of herds of milk and meat direction of productivity are found to be effective
