«PROFFESSOR ELENA ZAKHAROVA» - THE NEW GREEK-RUSSIAN HIGH QUILITY BLACK BERRY WINE VARIETY

“Professor Elena Zakharova” variety is a hybrid between Aigeorgitico and Cabernet Fran, which was made in the result Greek-Russian creative scientific cooperation. The period of production is 156-165 days. The growth of arms is fast. The degree of ripening is higher. The percent of fruitful arms is more than 90. The yield is high. The average weight of cluster is 260 g. It has high resistance to cold, drought-resistance and higher resistance to mushroom diseases. The leave is average, symmetrical, average parted, five lobes. There are two inflorescences on one arms - 4 and 6 on the nodes. The flower is hermaphroditic. The cluster is middle, cylindroconical, middle density. The berry is middle, round, blue-black color. The pulp is juicy, with solanaceous taste. The sugar content is high. This variety is developed for producing dry red wines of perfect quality

«ACADEMICIAN TRUBILIN» BREED - GRAPE WINE INNOVATION WITH THE COLORED PULP AND JUICE OF BACCAS

The "Academician Trubilin" breed of grape with the colored pulp and juice is bred in Greece by P.Zamanidi, L.Troshin and L.Maltabar in 2003 by mating of the Greek breed of Armeletusa with French Alikant Bush. Duration of rule-oriented phase is 146-155 days. Productivity is high. The medial mass of racemations is 170 gr. Differs with high winter-hardiness, drought resistance and raised sustainability to fungous diseases in comparison with breeds of Vitis vinifera L. Flower is bisexual. A racemation is medial, cylindrical with a wing, medial denseness. Bacca is small, roundish, blue-black color, with a dense wax coating. Peel is tight. Pulp and juice are intensely colored, with high quality tang. Sugar content is high. Differs with long preservation of crop on bushes. The breed is designed for production of intensely colored dry red wines of the excellent class, and also for high-grade dessert and sweet wines; it is applicable for making high-grade juice as well

TRAMINER BLACK - NEWEST WINE AROMATHIC GRAPE VARIETY WITH COLORED PULP AND JUICE

Newest breeding aromatic grape variety with colored pulp and juice is Traminer black bred in Athens Viticulture Institute (Greece) P.Zamanidi, L.Troshin and L.Maltabar in 2007 by crossing the Ukrainian (Odessian) black varieties (Alicante Bouschet x Cabernet Sauvignon) with the European Traminer pink. According to the morphological and physiological characteristics related to the group of Western European varieties. Length of production period 136-145 days. The strength of growth shoots is strong (2,1-3,0 m). Productivity is high. The average weight of bunch 200 grams. Characterized by a high resistance to cold, drought resistance and increased resistance to fungal diseases in comparison with common varieties of Vitis vinifera L. Flower is hermaphrodite. Clusters are short or medium, conical, sometimes with wing, average density. Berry is small, round, blue-black coloring, with a thick waxy coating. Peel thick, dense, durable. Pulp and juice intensely colored, with a taste of Gewurztraminer. Content of sugar is very high: in the bushes on the stale grapes reaches more than 40%. Prolonged preservation of crop on bushes. Sort intended for manufacturing intensely colored dry red wines of excellent grade and high-quality sparkling, dessert, sweet wines and liqueurs, and is suitable for high-quality juices. MOSKHORAGOS - NEW WINE HIGH QUALITY MUSCAT GRAPE VARIETY

Variety Moskhoragos is hybrid one: it was bred by Panteley Zamanidi, Leonid Troshin and Leonid Maltabar in 2001 in Greece by crossing of varieties Savvatyano and Muscat Alexander. By morphological-biological characteristics it was included in a group of varieties of the Black Sea basin (convar. pontica subconar. balcanica Negr.). Variety is new and that’s why it has limited spreading. Productive period length is 156-165 days. Length of shoots is 2,1 – 3.0 m. Degree of cane maturity is high – 81-95 %. Crop capacity is 25-30 t/ha. Percentage of fruit-bearing shoots is more than 90. Average cluster mass is 300 g. It differs with high cold resistance, drought resistance and increased resistance to fungi diseases in comparison with Muscat varieties Vitis vinifera L. During blossoming it can be recognized by a little crown of greenish-yellowish color with winy-red shade in the end part, shining surface of leaves with webby downiness in the lower part. First leaf is greenish, winy-red in edges, highly downy with both sides, second and third leaves are greenish-bronze, pentalobular, slightly webby –downy in the upper side and highly downy in the lower side. Fourth and fifth leaves are green with yellowish shade, brilliant, with rare webby downiness in the upper side and highly downy in the lower side. Shoot is green, with brown-reddish shade. Leaf is symmetrical. Leaf plate surface is large, dark-green, leaf’s form is pentagonal with five lobules, bladder surface is weak. Leaf edges have middle-acuminated dens, erect by both sides. Lower lobules are slightly overlapped. Leafstalk length is average. Inflorescence is cylindrical, often with antenna. Two inflorescences usually appear on one shoot on 4 or 5 nods and inflorescences appear on the shoots, grown from resting buds on perennial wood as well. Flower is monecious, normal. Ovary is round and ball-shaped. Pollen has normal shape, fertile. Cluster is average, cylindrical, alary, with average density. Berry is middle-sized, round, yellowish-green color. Flesh is juicy, sweet, with nice Muscat after-taste. Sugar content is high. Seed has an average length, light-brown, pear-shaped, with middle-sized beak. Variety is used for preparation of high quality table, strong and dessert wines of different categories.

The Mavrostifo – Greece aboriginal variety. It is belong to the group of varieties convar. pontica subconvar. balcanica Negr. The time of production period is 156-165 days. The variety of medium height. The degree of ripening of vine is higher. The yield is higher. The average mass of bunch is 360 g. It has higher drought-resistance and middle steadiness for mushrooms diseases. The leave is large, black-green, the middle dissection, five lobes (the lobes are recovered), from bottom side with a lot of hairs. There are two blossoms on the 3 and 4 nodes. The flower is hemofroditus. The bunch is low or big, long, conical-winged, density. The berry is average, round, black-blue. The pulp is juicy, with tasty variety after taste. There are two-three seeds in berry. The sugariness is higher. The variety is useful for preparing higher quality intensive colored red wines of different categories from southern zones of viticulture with warm and dry climate.
