A POSTAGE STAMP AS A RESOURCE OF INFORMATION IN THE HISTORY OF AGRONOMY

The article considers illustrative images of plants on the postage stamps as a resource of information of agronomy history. We have shown the technology of education process. The first is the creation of the images base; the second are analysis, comparison, interpretation and search of new information. The method of sketches as the basis of the iconography of plants images was presented in this work. Analysis of the images allowed identifying several thematic blocks. Agriculture, growing in the country, the history of the plants spread, the technology of processing, product export and promotion of agronomic knowledge through agricultural exhibitions. Object of the analysis is a postage stamp. Stamps reflect the whole life of people, their history and modernity, environment, agriculture, science, culture and art. A stamp is a kind of "business card", it is a witness of the era. The main idea of the base images is receiving new knowledge about an object by collecting images, visual analysis, searching for information and studying material; in fact, it is a new approach to obtaining new knowledge, motivated and exciting approach to receive scientific information. Created database of images on the history of agronomy on the basis of stamps allows to use them actively in the learning process, and may be used as the individual topics for researches

TO THE ONE OF SYSTEMATIC APPROACHES TO THE ABSTRACT OF LECTURES IN EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS USING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

This article proposes an approach to the creation of abstract, based on the association of machine typesetting and creating pictures, which is especially important in connection with the development of information technology in today's society. The analysis of existing approaches to the creation of lecture notes based on a letter by hand and machine typing. Identified strengths and weaknesses of existing approaches. We have considered in detail an algorithm of adding graphic information into the abstract, using an approach based on typing on a PC or laptop. The article conducts an analysis of existing researches and experimentation in this direction. We have revealed one of the problems associated with the proposed approach, based on the location of seats in the classroom, considered one of the options for its solutions. The necessity of the development of specialized software was found. We have demonstrated lack of suitability of text editors for the implementation of the proposed approach

In the face of rising threats to national security of Russia, particularly acute has a specific and purposeful work on education of modern generations, capable of spiritual perception values, ideals, traditions and life attitudes of the generation of Winners. This work takes place in a complex political situation related to the attempts to revise the results of World War II, the intensification of practices of glorification of fascism, attempts to impose Western-style democracy. The main reason for this – the oblivion of tradition and the lessons of history, continued in the names, symbols and meanings inherited by contemporary generations in spiritual heritage from generation of Winners. The current situation reflects the significant features of the contemporary ideological confrontation, walking in mass communication. There is a struggle for hearts and minds, and move in convenient in the context of globalization interpretations of certain events constituting a once of key importance to society. We justify the development strategy of innovative development of a regional system of patriotic education of young people, through them developed main directions (forming the "innovation centers", the integration of ideas, technologies and human capacity, synchronization of activities of education, culture, youth policy, public organizations, the establishment of a regional cluster) and indicators (the degree of social cohesion, the attraction of investments, increased status subject position of, variety of innovative models, well conditions for innovation, the development of a management culture) of innovation structures – regional scientific-innovational socio-pedagogical complex of patriotic education

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN OF NAVY MEN FORMATION READY TO STAND AGAINST PIRATES AND TERRORIST AT SEA

Under present-day conditions, coalition of states, including Russian Federation has its warships performing safe navigation objectives and cargo vessel convoy escorting in areas under threat of pirates in accordance with UN resolution. Preparation of Navy ships that perform combat duty missions in areas of high piracy activity in order to protect cargo vessels involves not only solving of manning and logistics problems, but also targeted formation of highly qualified Navy men always ready to successful implementation of such specific tasks. Such organizational and educational activities should be managed with the use of Instructional design of the military-pedagogical process. Instructional Design is an objective necessity for the development of the subject's military-pedagogy, educational activity of the projective imagination, thinking, effective course of action. The author refers to this Instructional design to form Navy men ready to stand against pirates and terrorist at sea as a phenomenon that combines educational theory with innovative practice and targeted at comprehensive training of warship personnel to perform its duties. The article justifies the target programme to form Navy men ready to counter pirates and terrorists at sea. The programme contains six separate and interconnected modules with topics, providing crew members with the necessary knowledge and skills to form a high-level of readiness for upcoming professional military activities at sea

In this article there have been examined the aspects of the citizens patriotic education in the Russian Federation. The role of the patriotic toys is regarded as an instrument of patriotic education of the rising generation. The historical experience of the production of such kinds of toys in former USSR and now in the Russian Federation shows that there is a connection between the state ideology and the range of manufactured patriotic toys. The main home industry producers of toy soldiers are considered and the characteristics of their output are given. The up-to-date problems in this area are identified and measures to improve the situation by means of state support for home patriotic toy producers are proposed

LEVEL CONTROL METHODS OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF ACTIVITY-BASICS LEARNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION

The article is devoted to the evaluation means of formation of professional competence, provided by traditional and innovative methods of control. The main differences between competence, knowledge and skills are examined. It expands one of the major challenges of high school, which consists in bridging the gap between "Knowledge" paradigm of teaching content and professionally meaningful results. We describe the changes that have occurred after the transfer of knowledge and skills approach to competence, manifested in the shift from learning content to the results of the training activity. Also the differences between the Federal state educational standards of different generations are considered in detail. The article deals with the system-activity approach as the basis of Federal state educational standard of higher education and its effectiveness in the implementation of the goals established by the standard. Also the main components of the educational process which have their own characteristics in the system-activity approach are discussed in detail. It is about teaching methods that can be applied within the framework of the components described for the formation of various professional competences. Particular attention is paid to control, description of various innovative control methods that help evaluate the level of professional competence development. The subject of the article is a scientific and educational potential of a modern University. From the standpoint of the essential ontological approach, the author identifies the conditions for capacity building, discusses the complex of measures on increase of its capacity, and describes the conditions of its further diversification. The inductive-deductive method allows one to grasp the essence of innovative proposals for capacity development, which is the reengineering that is treated as an important factor of socio-economic development of modern society. ACADEMIC WRITING IN ENGLISH IN A RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY: PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

The article analyses the difficulties brought about by the introduction into the curricula of many Russian universities a new educational practice – Academic Writing in English. The difficulties are grouped into the following categories: the ones which are rooted in the old Soviet-Russian lingua - didactic tradition of teaching foreign languages; the ones which are connected with a low level of prestige of research work among students and some of their teachers; the ones which are specific to a particular educational establishment, and as the survey reveals, they are mostly caused by the complicated nature of the subject Academic Writing. The algorithm of action suggested for the syllabus design includes the analysis of objective and subjective difficulties; analysis of the needs of the target audience; and the introduction into the teaching process specifically designed for the course materials. Survey results prove that following the algorithm has significantly raised the students’ level of satisfaction with the difficult course. The measures, aiming to improve the course, have facilitated the attainment of the course goal, saving time and effort for students and their teachers

In modern conditions there is a particularly acute problem of activization of the human factor, the maximum use of human abilities to achieve higher results of professional activity. The solution to this problem is vested in the vocational education system, whose main objective is to provide training and education a qualified professional of the appropriate level and profile, competitive on the labor market, ready for professional growth, social and professional mobility. It is directly connected with the problem of further improving the management of the process of formation of personality of a future marine technician, a factor which is a professional orientation. According to the authors, the current practice of training specialists of Maritime transport requires the presence of the model of software and diagnostic support of the process of formation of professional orientation. The article proposes this model, which is built from the position of system-activity, competence, software design and diagnostic approaches, and includes: conceptual-target block (the wording of the goal, objectives, fundamental contradictions of concepts and ideas); content and process unit (design target of the program "Orientation and professionalism"; the definition of pedagogical conditions); procedure block (teaching in the target program; methods of learning; stages of learning (input, intermediate, final); monitoring of the level of formation of professional orientation); productive unit (criteria, indicators, levels)

PRAGMATIC ASPECT OF SEMIOTIC APPROACH TO FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING AT HIGHER SCHOOL

The success of communication in the learning environment is provided by the organization of educational process in such a way, when it is most comfortable for students to demonstrate their knowledge and for teachers to control this knowledge. Semiotic approach allows taking into account the diversity of individual intelligence profiles within a particular educational system. Such an approach includes the selection of the content, the organization of students’ activities and the system of assessment. The development of cognitive competencies allows teachers to eliminate the difficulties which can be caused by the large amount of information, its comprehension and the ability of students to express their opinion by means of complex linguistic structures. The semiotic approach involves the use of variant and invariant tasks that can ensure the success of the situation for students with different levels of training. The assessment technology is based on the principle of semiotic result. It is realized through the use of score-rating system, which is applied within the current, intermediate and final control. This system enables the students to receive a total positive rating for a certain period of training. As a result, such a student avoids taking the exam. It creates a positive motivation for students to learn foreign languages without a stressful component of assessment, which results in a high efficiency of the educational process
