The article is devoted to the study of factors of
adaptation of Chinese students to educational
environment of TPU. The goal of this work is to
identify influence of different factors on adaptation of
foreign students studying in Tomsk Polytechnic
University. Various methods of data collection and
analysis are used in the research –an associative
experiment, open-ended questions and observation.
As a result of the associative experiment main factors
of adaptation of foreign students are revealed: interest
in Tomsk, comfortable accommodation, professional
tutors, relationship with peers and Russian language
level. Weather and the need to adjust to new
surroundings negatively influence adaptive capacity.
Analysis of answers to the open-minded questions
has confirmed the results of the associative
experiment. Negative character traits are mentioned
as factors that negatively influence adaptive capacity.
The Russian language is regarded ambivalently by
the Chinese students. It is perceived both as a
negative and as a positive factor by the same
respondents. Many students consider successful
passing of Russian as a Foreign Language Test as
personal success. Therefore, Russian is the most
important factor of adaptation of the Chinese students
in TPU
The article presents the possibilities of the GeoGebra dynamic geometry environment which can be used for conducting experimental research work. Computer experiment as a method of research serves to discover new knowledge, to test hypotheses, to involve students in the active process of learning new material. Freely-distributed GeoGebra's dynamic geometry environment which has a Russian version and a friendly interface that can be conveniently used both in classrooms and at home, is chosen as a computer technology for implementing a computer experiment. There are described possibilities of the tools used to implement the computer experiment. Among them are tools for detecting the metric and positional features of the object, obtaining information about the relationship between metric and positional features of objects, a parametrical task of changes of size, creation of experimental data tables. The experimental capabilities of the GeoGebra dynamic geometry environment are revealed by the examples of solving some elementary geometry problems about the simplest of polygons - a triangle that attracted the attention of both ancient scientists (Menelaus and others) and scientists who are closer to our time (Euler, Poncelet et al. ). Capabilities of the system for creating dynamic drawings, tables of experimental data and their application in conducting research work are demonstrated on the example of Menelaus' theorem presented in a more accessible form than in the textbook of geometry 10th -11th forms (authors L.S. Atanasyan, V. F. Butuzov, etc.)
The urgency of the problem of improving the
economic education of students is justified, there are
considered features of its resolution in informatics
training in the higher school. The relevance of
research on improving the economic education of
students is due to a number of factors: the need for the
development of small and medium-sized businesses in
Russia; The need to ensure the competitiveness of
graduates; The need to prevent the numerous financial
problems that arise in young people due to their
economic illiteracy, etc. In the global plan, the work to
improve the economic education of students is called
upon to contribute to the formation of a national
philosophy of "self-reliance". In many countries of the
world such work in educational institutions is carried
out both as independent subjects, and within the
framework of existing subjects studied in educational
institutions. It is asserted that the information
education of high school students can and should make
a definite contribution to the realization of each of the
social functions of economic consciousness:
enlightened, developing, educational, organizing,
aesthetic and prognostic. It is substantiated that with
information preparation it is most expedient to form
one of such functions - prognostic. It is worthwhile to
solve this problem based on the methodology of role
information modeling
This article is dedicated to the specialties of extra
English education in the frame of a non-linguistic
technical university. It can be represented by various
courses, which imply teaching from the elementary to
the advanced level. The types, contents and motivation
component are defined in the article. The material is
chosen according to the courses’ level, students’
abilities, and demands of a modern society. All types
of speech activity are worked at in these courses,
professional component and international standards of
mastering the English language are being taken into
consideration
The main structural units of the University are
departments; the results of their work influence the
quality of knowledge, skills and competence of
graduates and the image of the University. The article
reveals the reasons of unproductive interaction of the
departments with divisions, providing educational
process; it also discusses suggestions that will improve
the performance of the main indicators of assessment
of the efficiency of activities of the University. It is
shown, that a systematic approach is the basis in the
organization of work of structural divisions of the
University, but it is difficult to implement, if managers
and supervisors do not have authority. To improve the
quality of graduates and their demand in the labor
market, it requires exempting the Department from
administrative work. These functions can be redirected
to the management, departments and services with
modern electronic information processing system. To
achieve high results in training in-demand graduates is
possible when the offices and the departments will
work as a team with the lecturers, in cooperation and
understanding
The article presents an interdisciplinary approach to
teaching of programming technology within the
discipline "Theory and Programming Technology"
based on the implementation of interdisciplinary
connections with financial mathematics on the
example of the development of financial computing
calculators. The importance of interdisciplinary
connections in pedagogic of higher education
motivates the transition of Federal State Educational
Standards (FSES) of a new generation to a
competence model of graduate preparing. Acquisition
of financial calculation methods with the aid of using
software tools will contribute the formation of
professional competences in the project-technological
activity as the ability to apply the tools and
programming technology in terms of professional
training, providing system analysis and management
problem solving (PC-8). The choice for the
development of instrumental software for methods of
financial calculations will be able not only to
improve claimed in FSES of the higher education
professional competences in the project-technological
activities for solving the problems of system analysis
and management decisions, but to develop teaching
and interdisciplinary communications through
enriching the content of the discipline / module with
knowledge of another discipline
The article is devoted to methods of training
specialists in universities that meet the current
qualification and professional requirements of the
employers. The work formulates requirements to
graduates of educational institutions, which include
not only training high-level, but also personal
qualities, which together allows the graduate to
become a competitive specialist. As a possible
method of preparation of such experts we justified
the introduction of elements of project activity in
educational process of universities. The proposed
nested structure of the typical educational program,
identifies the modules that are part of it, specify the
purposes and functions of each module in the
implementation of the project methods. Advantages
of training in case of realization of scientific design
activities were shown. The use of design methods
within the module of General subjects, organization
and implementation of interdisciplinary modules
design and science and engineering activities are
proposed. We noted the necessity of temporal and
semantic coordination between all modules of the
educational program with the aim of obtaining the
maximum effect from the implementation of project
methods in the educational process. It is proved, that
the implementation of the project activity during
training students not only develop competencies of
educational standard, but also acquire and forming
their own competencies needed for future career. The
conditions of effective implementation of scientificresearch
and design activities within universities
were formulated
