The article is devoted to the analysis of the atmosphere and soil pollution’s monitoring and health status of the Krasnodar region cities’ population. The studies were conducted during more than 20 years, there was repeatedly testing the soil of various regions and cities. The results indicate an increase of the atmosphere pollution and of the concentrations of chemical
elements in soil and deterioration of health of the population as a consequence. In particular, the diseases of the respiratory tract of the children and adult population strongly increased. Ni, Cr, Cu and Pb concentrations in the region soils increased during the observation period. The highest degree of air pollution

The article presents the research results of the Caspian Sea upwelling which is accompanied by the negative temperature anomaly in the summer period.
The historical review of the upwelling research was made. The upwelling at the western coast of the Mid-dle Caspian was classified by duration, intensity and scale. The comparative analysis results of the upwel-ling cases are presented according to the coastal hydrological observations in 1999-2008.
