NEW BREED OF HRISI IRINI GRAPE FOR HIGH-QUALITY SPARKLING, SWEET AND DRY WHITE WINES

The breed of grape of Hrisi Irini is bred in Greece by P.Zamanidi and L.Troshin in 2003 by mating of the Greek breed of Asirtiko with the French breed of Semilon. Duration of production period is 156-165 days. Growth of shoots is strong (2,1-3,0). Degree of ripening of a vine is very high. Productivity is high. Average mass of clusters is 200 Differs with high winter hardiness, drought resistance and the raised resistance to fungous diseases in comparison with breeds of Vitis vinifera L. Flower is bisexual. Cluster is average, cyclo-conical, average density. Berry is average, oval, greenish-yellow colour, with a dense bloom. A pellicle is dense. Pulp and juice with high-quality odour. Sugar content is very high, it reaches 40 % with constant acidity in air-dry clusters on bushes. The breed of Hrisi Irini is included in ecological and geographical group of breeds of basin of Black sea under its morpho-physiological characteristics. The breed is intended for manufacturing dry white wines of an excellent class, and also high-quality dessert, sweet and sparkling wines; it is applicable for production of high-quality juice, compotes as well. The breed is very perspective for southern zones where grapes have no sufficient acidity

NEW COMPLEX-STEADY HIGH-GRADE TECHNICAL BLACK BERRY VARIETY OF GRAPE - ALEKSAMPELO

New complex-steady black berry technical kind of a grape - "Aleksampelo" is breed in Greece by P.Zamanidi and L.Troshin in 2003 by mating of Firstborn Magaracha with a mixture of blossom dust of Greek black berry sorts of Bakuri and Mavrostifo. Duration of productional phase is 146-155 days. This sort is сильнорослый. A degree of ripening of a vine is very high. Productivity is high. The medial mass of racemations is 230 gr. It differs with high winter-hardiness, drought resistance and raised sustainability to fungous diseases in comparison with sorts of Vitis vinifera L.; it is tolerant to a phylloxera. A flower is bisexual. A racemation is medial, cylinder-conical, medial denseness. A bacca is medial, roundish, blue - black colour, with a dense wax coating. A peel is tight, strong. Pulp and juice with the expressed high quality flavour. Sugar content of juice of baccas is very high. The crop is maintained on bushes duratingly enough. The sort is designed for production of dry red wines of the excellent quality and also for high-grade dessert and sweet wines; it is applicable for development of high-grade juice and compotes as well

NEWEST PINK BERRY AROMATIC VINE GRAPE VARIETY – RADOST LEONIDOV

New wine grape flavored pink berry grape variety named “Radost Leonidov” breed at Athens Institute of Viticulture by P.Zamanidi, L.Troshin and P.Radchevskii in 2009 by crossing the new Moskhoragos Greek muscat variety with old European variety Traminer pink. According to morphological and biological characteristics, it can be assigned to Western European eco-geographical group of varieties. Strong growth of shoots (2,1-3,0 m). The extent of maturation of vines is very high (over the entire length, except for the top). Duration of production period from bud burst to harvest - 146-155 days. Productivity is high: 20-25 t / ha. The average weight of clusters is 260. Characterized by high winter hardiness, drought resistance and increased resistance to fungal diseases in comparison with the varieties of Vitis vinifera. Flower is hermaphrodite, fully developed stamens and gynoecium. Bunch is small, conical, sometimes winged, average density. Berry is small, spherical, pinkish in color, with a thick waxy coating. Peel of medium thickness, dense and durable. Pulp and juice with a strong varietal flavor, similar to the aroma of Traminer pink. Sugar content is very high: more than 24%. Cluster of the variety of Radost Leonidov at overripening is drying and stored on the bushes for a long time. PATRIS – A NEW GREECE-RUSSIAN WINE HIGHER QUALITY BLACK BERRY VARIETY

The Patris variety is a hybrid, which was made as the result of Greece-Russian scientific collaboration in Greece by Panteley Zamanidi and Leonid Troshin in 2001 year by hybridization of Aigeorgitiko and Cabernet Sauvignon variety. By its morphological characteristics, it is included to the group of the Black sea varieties (convar. pontica subconvar. balcanica Negr.). The production period is 156-165 days. The growth of shoots is big. The yield is very high. The weight of bunch is 250 g. It has good frost resistance, drought resistance and higher steadiness to mushroom diseases, comparing with the parents varieties of Vitis vinifera L. The leave is middle, black-green, five lobes, deep divided, bubbles on the higher plate are low, the hairs are low on the upper side and intense on the bottom. The flower is hermaphrodite. The bunch is middle, cylinder conical or wrinkle, low density. The berry is middle, round, blue-black color. The skin is dense. The pulp is juicy with paslen taste. The sugariness of juice is high. The variety is used for making dry red wines of outstanding quality

Newest wine Muscat grape variety with colored pulp and juice Serra was breeded at Athens Institute of Viticulture (Greece) by P.Zamanidi and L.Troshin in 2007 by crossing the Ukrainian Odessa black variety (Alicante Bouschet x Cabernet Sauvignon) with the new Greek Muscat black berry Krimbas variety. According to the morphological and physiological characteristics it is included in the eco-geographical group of Black Sea Coast. Length of production period is 146-155 days. STEADY IN A COMPLEX, SEEDLESS, BLACK BERRY ATHENA GRAPE VARIETY

Steady in a complex seedless Athena sort is born in Greece by Panteley Zamanidi and Leonid Troshin in 2001 by crossing of Sidiritis and Cabernet-Sauvignon sorts. Under morphological and physiological characteristics it is close to the group of Convar. pontica subconvar balcanica Negr. varieties of pool of Black sea. Duration of productional period is 156-165 days. Growth of arms is strong. Degree of ripening of a rod is high. Productivity is high. Percent of fructiferous arms is 90. The average weight of clusters is 400. It differs with high winter hardiness, drought resistance and raised stability to mushroom illnesses in comparison with seedless Euroasian grapes. A blossom bud has green color with yellowy-brown tones. A top of young arm of green color with a weak wine-red border and very strong web-like fluff. Young arm is red from the back, green with a belly with an average web-like fluff. Adult leaf is symmetric. Leaf plate is average or big, green color, five bladed, it is divided weakly. Both parts of a local teeth form straight lines. The form of petiolar dredging is open. Length of footstalk is average. One arm usually has two inflorescences, on 4th and 6th knots. Inflorescences are formed both on the arms which have grown from replacing buds, and from the arms which have been developed from sleeping buds on a long-term wood. The flower is hermaphroditic. Custer is large, branchy, winged, average density. Berry of the average size, roundish, blue and black color. Skin is thin, strong. Pulp is juicy, with solanaceous taste. Sugar content is high. Rudiments of seeds are small. The sort is intended for consumption in a natural way and for manufacturing dry red wines of various categories

The average mass of clusters is 500 g. It differs with high drought resistance and average resistance to fungi diseases. Under bud germination is recognized by crown of green color with winy-red shadow, with strong webby swelling. Plate of a leaf is large, dark-green shadow, form is pentagular, with five lobules, top surface of plate is honeycombed. Cluster is large, conic and compact. Flesh with nice variety after taste. Berry is average size, round, navy-black color. Sugar content is high. Variety is for making of high quality red wines of different categories in southern zones of grape-growing with hot and dry climate.
