ASSESSMENT OF YOUNG PIGS ON THEIR OWN PRODUCTIVITY AND QUALITY OF SPERM

abstract 1351801028 issue 135 pp. 200 – 207 31.01.2018 ru 295
A comprehensive assessment was made of the own productivity of repair pigs and the quality of sperm production of boars of different breeds. Imported boars and mumps had thin bacon 13-15 mm, high early ripeness 145-153 days and a depth of "muscular eye" 53-53.9 mm, indicating an increase in the content of lean meat in the carcass. However, the length of the trunk of the animals was 120 cm, which corresponds to the first class of the instructions for bonitation. There was a significant difference in the growth rate of repair young (about 300 g), which indicates the individual characteristics of animals and the possibility of selecting the best animals for reproduction of the herd. Assessment of pigs by phenotype is an important element of breeding work on complexes. It is established that the quality of sperm production is affected both by the breed and the season of the year: the volume of ejaculate and the concentration of spermatozoa in all breeds are greatest in the autumn-winter period. Boars Maxgro were distinguished by an increased volume of ejaculate, but a low concentration of sperm compared to a large white breed and landrace. During the year, the greatest fluctuations in sperm concentration in large white breed boars were observed ± 133 million / ml, the smallest - Landrace ± 29 million / ml, which contributes to the uniform production of semen doses for insemination

BEST AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGY AS AN ELEMENT OF ECOLOGICAL MODERNIZATION OF PIG-BREEDING

abstract 1261702041 issue 126 pp. 582 – 599 28.02.2017 ru 584
The article analyzes the main factors of the negative impact of pig farms on the environment, for the characteristics of which are used criteria such as emissions of ammonia, methane, nitrous oxide, dust, loss of nitrogen and phosphorus in manure output, feed consumption and water consumption, economic evaluation, capital costs of reducing emissions, operational cost. The technical level, resource and energy consumption in the production of pork have been analyzed in a comparative perspective. The necessity of implementation of best available techniques in order to ensure environmentally oriented production growth has been provided. The importance of the development of technology selection algorithm and clarification the basic criteria for the selection has been emphasized. Also, there was detected the role of technical regulation for the prevention of excess pollution. The necessity of a comprehensive approach was proven for the implementation of NDT in the framework of environmental and industrial policies. Implementing NDT will provide the ecological modernization of pig production, which is confirmed by the experience of European countries, successfully implementing the concept of NDT from the 70s of the twentieth century. At the same time, not only economic measures should be used (exemption from pollution charges, grants and subsidies), but also the administrative tools (based on a valuation of NDT, integrated permits). Daylight technological regulation will provide "green" economic growth and will contribute to solving social and economic problems. Implementation of the project is not possible without the exchange of information, the definition of time and economic characteristics of the implementation of NDT, comparative analysis and classification technologies to NDT. In 2017, it has already been planned to publish the NDT reference "Intensive breeding of pigs,” while the implementation of best available technologies will become the basis of ecological modernization of the industry. The inclusion of the author to the technical working group on development of the handbook "Intensive breeding of pigs" allows to participate on-line in the discussion of topical issues

MOBILE POLLINATION AS A PARADIGM FOR INDUSTRIAL BEEKEEPING

abstract 1181604060 issue 118 pp. 990 – 1000 29.04.2016 ru 766
The article analyzes the state of the domestic beekeeping. It is proposed, as a paradigm of the industrial beekeeping, to use honey and pollination systems. Over the past 25 years, because the hard economic reforms in the public sector, there was almost double reduction of honey collection. Russian beekeeping is in the hard situation because of the low yields and the use of outdated technologies. Russia's share in the global honey market does not exceed 1 %. A more viable was apiaries of private households. Beekeepers receive a basic income from the sale of honey. Meanwhile, in developed countries more than 60% of the income of integrated use of honeybees account for pollination activities. In modern conditions of the Russian vector of development of beekeeping should be its production and technological re-equipment, improving its bioecological principles and socio - economic transformation of the infrastructure sector. Using mobile honey- pollination systems, which provide bees with feed conveyor due to the frequent movement of the apiary, honey plant and beekeepers can reduce the cost of manual labor for loading and unloading hives. In the Kuban Agrarian University we designed the pavilion design (RF patent number 2,284,103 ), awarded with a silver medal of Concours Lepine (France, Paris ). Using a mobile pavilion allows to conduct all production functions: honey and pollination production and reproduction, ensuring the competitiveness of the industry

THE PATH FOR IMPORT- SUBSTITUTION OF THE USE OF FOREIGN BREED PIGS

abstract 1301706078 issue 130 pp. 1058 – 1065 30.06.2017 ru 388
The extensive path for development in the country in the twentieth century caused low competitiveness of Russian pig production. The productivity of domestic pig production was significantly lower than in Europe, US, Canada and China. Feed costs per 1 kg of gain were 2-3 times higher with a low yield of piglets from a sow per year: 14-16 with an average European 25-27 heads. The country did not have enough meat; as a result, a significant amount of meat products was imported to Russia. Restrictions on imports in connection to the imposition of embargoes contributed to the increase in demand for domestic products and opened new opportunities for Russian producers. One way to increase the production of pork is to use pigs with a high genetic potential for productivity, imported for breeding from Canada and Europe. Based on the conducted studies, it has been established that pigs of foreign breeding have high reproductive qualities, which proves the expediency of their application in commercial pig production to increase the efficiency of the industry development and reduce the import of pedigree youngsters from abroad. The implementation of two breed gilts will help increase productivity in the industrial pig production
