ENZYME ACTIVITY OF SEVERAL SOILS OF THE CRIMEA

The article considers the enzymatic activity and some other ecological and biological properties of zonal soils of the Crimea (cambisol, Chromic cambisol, different subtypes of chernozems). We have revealed significant differences in catalase, dehydrogenase, polyphenol oxidase, peroxidase, invertase for soils of the Crimea, which can not be explained only by the content of soil organic matter. Despite the low humus content of the soil, some have a high level of some enzymes. The level of enzyme activity depends on the reaction medium, the content of carbonate and other soil properties. We have also revealed that the agricultural use of brown soils under vineyards leads to a significant change in their properties and enzymatic activity

Estimation of blast resistance of rice breeding lines, carrying resistance genes Pi-b, Pi-z and Pi-40 has been done. For phytopatological test isolates of pathogen from Krasnodar territory were used. As the results of the study Pi-40 gene showed maximal resistance to blast isolates. EVALUATION OF COMMON WHEAT INTROGRESSION LINES WITH GENETIC MATERIAL Agropyron glaucum FOR LEAF RUST RESISTANCE

As result of evaluation 24 common wheat introgression lines with genetic material Agropyron glaucum the considerable variability of resistance to leaf rust was revealed. Genetic control of leaf rust in introgression lines 60 and 109 was studied using hybridological analysis. Both lines contained single dominant genes differed from each other and from the known effective Lr19 and Lr24. The investigated lines with genetic material Agropyron glaucum are valuable donors of the genes for leaf rust resistance
