THE OPERATED EYE HYDRODYNAMICS MATHEMATICAL MODELING FOR OPTIMIZATION OF SURGERY THECNIQUE

abstract 1101506004 issue 110 pp. 70 – 85 30.06.2015 ru 1328
Acceptable values of the drainage hole parameters in the shunt glaucoma surgery were calculated by means of mathematical modeling of different conditions of eye hydrodynamics. The operation method was designed with provision for pressure gradient, rate of the aqueous humor outflow, and the values of intraocular pressure in early and late postoperative period. The balance of liquid in eye was calculated in mathematical model as ordinary differential equation in accordance with flow resistance of every section. The data received by using mathematical model has shown that allowable rate of aqueous humor outflow is gained with the hole diameter of 0,025 mm. This mathematical model should assist to the better understanding of physical processes describing the eye hydrodynamics, should benefit to the operation quality and should create the base to the clinical studies

THE POSSIBILITIES OF NON-DRUG CORRECTION OF UROGENITAL DISORDERS IN FEMALE PATIENTS WITH THE METABOLIC SYNDROME DURING THE MENOPAUSE

abstract 1161602003 issue 116 pp. 70 – 81 29.02.2016 ru 1332
The aim of the research was to assess the effect of nondrug correction of urogenital disorders in female patients with metabolic syndrome during the menopause. The research includes 330 women aged 45-50 with metabolic syndrome. Three equal groups with 110 female patients each were formed: the main group, the first control group, and the second control group. In the main group, the non-drug treatment (diet therapy, psychotherapy, physical therapy, exercise therapy) and the vitamin-mineral treatment were combined. In the first control group, only non-drug treatment was used. In the second control group, only the vitamin-mineral treatment was used. Before the treatment and in six months after the treatment, the following was assessed: the intensity of vaginal atrophy symptoms according to the 5-point Barlow scale; Bochman vaginal health index; urinary diaries data. The results of the research showed: the average value of Bochmanvaginal health index has most significantly increased in the main group (from 3,64±0,63 pointsto 4,67±0,68 points, p

THE ROLE OF GAP JUNCTIONS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ASTROCYTIC HUMAN BRAIN TUMOR

abstract 1051501028 issue 105 pp. 472 – 490 30.01.2015 ru 1365
Recently, much attention is paid to research the role of cell-cell interactions by gap junctions in the process of malignant transformation and mechanisms of antitumor resistance. Meanwhile, the greatest interest is astrocytic tumors. Depending on the degree of malignancy, astrocytomas are divided into: pilocytic astrocytoma (Grade I), subependymal giant cell astrocytoma (Grade I), pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma (Grade II), diffuse astrocytoma (Grade II), anaplastic astrocytoma (Grade III), glioblastoma (Grade IV ) gliomatosis cerebri (Grade IV). Information of literature devoted to astrocytic tumors (gliomas) - the most common brain tumor in large part obtained in studies in cell cultures and different contradictions. Along with data on the reduction of glial tumors cells communicability through GJ, there is evidence of an opposite character - a functionally active GJ in gliomas and inhibition of tumor growth by reducing intercellular communicability by GJ. However, up to now there have been no studies of the effect and function of hemichannels in cancer cells, which would provide detailed information on: 1) the characteristic of presence and relative abundance of hemichannels in cancer cells; 2) evaluation of absorption / release of hemichannels mediated molecules in tumor cells than in non-tumor cells; 3) functional consequences of activation and blocking of hemichannels in tumor cells and 4) the prognostic value of the expression / activation of hemichannels in human malignancies

X-RAY ULTRASOUND COMPARISON AND DYNAMIC SONOGRAPHIC CONTROL OF PNEUMONIA IN CHILDREN

abstract 1041410112 issue 104 pp. 1610 – 1624 30.12.2014 ru 1426
Comparative analysis of the informativity of ultrasonic and radiographic examination of the lungs at the initial diagnosis of inflammatory infiltrate and at case followup of its involution during treatment was performed in 154 children with pneumonia. Higher informativity of ultrasound compared with radiography was determined. All children underwent ultrasound monitoring of pneumonia since admission to the full restoration of normal ultrasound image. Assessment criteria of pneumonia involution were the size and echostructure of an airless zone. Stationary ultrasound was performed at least 3 times. Outpatient ultrasound was repeated at least 2 times within 1 month, in some cases children were observed up to 3 months with monthly dualfold study

THE MATHEMATICALLY BASED CHOISE OF VISCOELASTIC IN SHUNT GLAUCOMA SURGERY

abstract 1101506081 issue 110 pp. 1221 – 1233 30.06.2015 ru 1466
The dramatic lowering of intraocular pressure (hypotony) is developing during glaucomatous surgery due to the formation of the new aqueous humor outflow. The calculations of the flow in the fluid balance parameters have shown, that for the normal intraocular pressure maintenance in the postoperative period the fluid flow out of the anterior chamber should not exceed 0,04 microliter in minute. The intensity of the aqueous humor outflow through the shunts with different parameters does not depend on the shunt length. The shunt with the inner hole radius 0,025 mm is the most safe as it provide the less outflow. The experimental comparative study of the static viscosity of the most widely used viscoelastics in ophthalmological surgery was carried out. It was stated that used in eye surgery viscoelastics on the basis of 1%, 2% and 3% sodium hyaluronate possess the viscosity, that differs in 10 and 100 times and has significant influence on the flow intensity out of the anterior chamber when the new outflow tracts are formed. The mathematically based choice of the most optimal relationship between the viscoelastics physical parameters and the inner hole size of the shunt type glaucoma drainage devices was established. Shunt with the inner hole radius 0,05 mm and simultaneous use of 2% and 3% sodium hyaluronate solution is the most safe for the maintenance of the eye tonus during the first 5 days after glaucoma surgery. The presented correlation allows to increase the safety of the surgical treatment of the patients with the refractory glaucoma

INFLUENCE OF MALIGNIZATIONS LEVEL OF ASTROCYTIC HUMAN BRAIN TUMOR ON THE EXPRESSION OF CONNEXIN-43

abstract 0931309044 issue 93 pp. 644 – 656 30.11.2013 ru 1539
Study was performed on 12 samples of astrocytic human brain tumors, which differ by the level of malignancy and histological indications. The study was conducted with the method of immunohistochemistry using a commercially available antibody anti-connexin-43 (Cx 43), a prior test of which was carried out on myocardium tissue of rats (positive control). The study showed that with the increasing of malignant level of astrocytomas, there was marked the decreased level of connexin-43 expression of, which is apparently to be associated with the destruction of intercellular gap junctions in tumor tissue

CEREBRAL-RENAL CONNECTIONS OF ELDERLY AGED PEOPLE IN THE REPUBLIC OF SAKHA (YAKUTIA), SUFFERING FROM CHRONIC ISCHEMIA OF BRAIN

abstract 0881304068 issue 88 pp. 971 – 984 30.04.2013 ru 1584
The study included 245 patients from 60 to 89 years, comparable by age and sex, were divided into two groups according to region of residence (Arctic and Antarctic), for two age groups (elderly and senile age) and by the sex. The main method of the study of cerebral hemodynamics in this work has been ultrasound dopplerography (usdg). Doppler sonography survey with color scanning and spectral Doppler analysis of the cervical arteries on extracranial level was performed according to standard method for ultrasound systems ACUSON “Sequoia-512” sensor linear format of the generated frequency of the ultrasonic signal 4 and 8 MHz in the ever-wave mode. The entire sample investigated the functional state of the kidneys. GFR was determined by the settlement formulas; Cockcroft&Gault GFR= (140-age) × body weight (kg) 810* creatinine of blood (mol/l)×E, where E-1,23 for men, 1,04-for women and MDRD: GFR= 186×(creatinine of blood mg/dd)-1,154 × (age)-0,203 × (0,742 for women) with subsequent determination of the stages of chronic kidney disease. We used a brief MDRD formula, which of laboratory indicators requires only establishing the values of concentrations of serum creatinine

PSEUDOEXFOLIATION SYNDROME AS A RISK FACTOR FOR CENTRAL RETINAL VEIN OCCLUSION

abstract 1311707088 issue 131 pp. 1067 – 1075 29.09.2017 ru 1592
The retrospective study of patients with retinal vein occlusion and frequency of pseudoexfoliation syndrome is made in this study. Retinal vein occlusion is the second most common type of retinal vascular disorder, after diabetic retinal disease, and may develop with a consequent reduction in visual acuity. Pseudoexfoliation syndrome is an age-related disease characterized by the production and accumulation of a fibrillar extracellular material in several ocular tissues We have analyzed data of 73 patients with retinal vein occlusion. It was detected that risk of central vein occlusion is higher in patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome (23,3% of patients were diagnosed as having pseudoexfoliation syndrome). In the branch retinal vein occlusion group only 9,3% of patients had pseudoexfoliation syndrome. In control group only 8,6% of patients had this syndrome. Control group was made of 80 patients similar in age without any retinal and cardiovascular abnormalities, patients with episodes of ocular hypertension, glaucoma, and those who had undergone cataract surgery were excluded from the study. Pseudoexfoliation syndrome may be considered as an independent risk factor for development of central retinal vein occlusion
