Greek variety Limniona concerns to the variety group of the Black Sea basin convar. pontica Negr. subconar balcanica Negr. It has a limited spreading, uses as
an industrial variety. Duration of productive period is 156-165 days. Growth of shoots is strong. Degree of cane maturity is 81-95 %. Percentage of fruit-bearing shoots is more than 90. Productivity is 25-30 t/ha. It is highly drought resistant. Flower is bisexual. Cluster is large, cylindrical, of an average compactness with mass of 350g. Berry is middle-sized, round, dark - blue-black.
Flesh is juicy, with nice variety after –taste. Variety is used for preparing of high quality red wines of different categories.
In this article color photos of 66 mass-production grades which have been removed from division into districts and/or excluded from the State registry of grapes of the Russian Federation as conceded to more competitive on adaptability and profitability, and also of phenotypes removed from the State test are presented. The number of mass-production grades has reached 460 for today. Although the term of "mass-production" grades is not very good, but in wine growing it has appeared to be comprehensible enough and clear to experts for a long time

proto clones were selected. Clairette white
is the best one as a variety from them and it was
given to the state experiment under the name
Clairette temryk.
The Dimitra variety is a hybrid, which was made as the result of Greek and Russian scientific collaboration in Greece, by Pantiley Zamanidi and Leonid Troshin in 2001 by hybridization of Aigeogritiko variety and Merlot. On its morphological characteristics it is included in the group of the Black sea varieties (convar. pontica subconvar. balcanica Negr.). The production period is 146-155 days. The leave is middle or big, black-green, five lobes, deep dissected. The middle weight of bunch is 300 g, the form is cylinder conical, middle density or friable. The berry is middle, not colored, with low labrusk taste. The yield is high. The sugariness is high. The quantity of seed in the berry is one or two. It has higher frost resistance; drought resistance and higher steadiness to mushroom diseases compare with the parents varieties. The variety is using for making desert dry red wine of outstanding quality

In particular, assessment of wild grape in the places of its initial origin was carried out, world gene pool was enriched on three hundred patterns, methods of molecular marking of grape genotypes and ampelographic screening of two subspecies Vitis Vinifera L. were improved, international data bank was created and variant of regional ampelography was written.
