The clone selection has very outstanding position behind the actual problems of modern viticulture in the world and in our country. This problem usually has the primary importance behind the scientist who works with grape in all the countries such as USA, German, French, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Moldavia, Ukraine and etc. In our country last years some positions becomes solving in the plane of scientific research work. LICOVRISI – NEW WINE VARIETY OF GRAPE WITH WHITE BERRY OF GREECE

abstract 0500906003 issue 50 pp. 35 – 51 29.06.2009 ru 2599
The global warming of the planet caused big changes of biological and social-economic character on the continents. It leads to necessity to invent new varieties of grapes, which are having higher adaptation to changes of environment, including practical steadiness for higher summer temperature and drought. The genetic improvement of Greece varieties was made by the methods of combine selection. The variety Likovrisi was made in Athens University of grape by P.Zamanidi and L.Troshin in 2001 by crossing of varieties Savvatiano and Ugni white. It has higher yielding. The productive period is middle-late. The bunch is big, wings, friable. The berry is middle, round, green-yellow. The pulp is juicy, taste is harmonious. The sugar is higher. It has higher warm-drought steadiness and higher stability to mushrooms diseases in compare with it’s parents. The variety is used for making dry white wines of different categories and spirits for cognac, brandy and grape vodka

GRAPEVINE PLANT REGENERATION FROM CELL SUSPENSIONS AND INFLORESCENCE FORMATION IN VITRO UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT VITAMIN AND MINERAL ELEMENT LEVELS IN NUTRIENT MEDIA

abstract 0500906010 issue 50 pp. 112 – 130 29.06.2009 ru 3220
Effects of different levels of vitamins (thiamine, pyridoxine and nicotinic acid) and macro-elements (MS, NN and PG) on development of globular, heart- and torpedo-stage embryos and plantlets with green cotyledons and on shoot production from them were studied in grapevine interspecific hybrids: cvs. ‘Bianca’, ‘Podarok Magaracha’ and ‘Intervitis Magaracha’. Pro-embryogenic calli were derived from petiole explants on solid full-strength NN medium supplemented with different levels of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 6-benzyladenine (BA) for each cultivar and used to initiate cell suspensions in liquid NN medium supplemented with 1 mg L-1 2,4-D and 0.2 mg L-1 BA. The following formulations of media were optimal for different stages of somatic embryogenesis and for plantlets with green cotyledons development: liquid NN medium supplemented with 0.5 mg L-1 BA  for globular embryo formation; liquid HTE medium (with PG macro-elements, thiamine and pyridoxine at 5 mg L-1 each and 0.5 mg L-1 nicotinic acid): supplemented with 0.2 mg L-1 BA  for heart-stage embryo development, supplemented with 0.1 mg L-1 indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and 30 mg L-1 sodium humate  for torpedo-stage embryo development and supplemented with 0.5 mg L-1 gibberellic acid (GA3)  for the growth of plantlets with green cotyledons. Solid MS medium modified by the addition of nicotinic acid, pyridoxine and p-aminobenzoic acid (PAB) at 5 mg L-1 each, 0.5 mg L-1 thiamine and 0.5 mg L-1 BA was best efficient for shoot production from plantlets. Inflorescence formation in regenerated plants of cv. ‘Podarok Magaracha’ grown on solid hormone-free PG medium was induced by addition of nicotinic acid, pyridoxine and PAB at 5 mg L-1 each, 0.5 mg L-1 thiamine and 0.2 mg L-1 BA into liquid modified HTE medium for growth of plantlets with green cotyledons and into solid modified MS medium for shoot production from them.

It differs with high cold resistance, drought resistance and increased resistance to fungi diseases in comparison with Muscat varieties Vitis vinifera L. During blossoming it can be recognized by a little crown of greenish-yellowish color with winy-red shade in the end part, shining surface of leaves with webby downiness in the lower part. First leaf is greenish, winy-red in edges, highly downy with both sides, second and third leaves are greenish-bronze, pentalobular, slightly webby –downy in the upper side and highly downy in the lower side. Leaf is symmetrical. Leaf plate surface is large, dark-green, leaf’s form is pentagonal with five lobules, bladder surface is weak. Leaf edges have middle-acuminated dens, erect by both sides. Lower lobules are slightly overlapped. Leafstalk length is average. Inflorescence is cylindrical, often with antenna. Two inflorescences usually appear on one shoot on 4 or 5 nods and inflorescences appear on the shoots, grown from resting buds on perennial wood as well. Flower is monecious, normal. Ovary is round and ball-shaped. Pollen has normal shape, fertile. Cluster is average, cylindrical, alary, with average density. Berry is middle-sized, round, yellowish-green color. Flesh is juicy, sweet, with nice Muscat after-taste. Sugar content is high. Seed has an average length, light-brown, pear-shaped, with middle-sized beak. Variety is used for preparation of high quality table, strong and dessert wines of different categories.
